An announcement from the Daytrippers team

It is with great sadness that we announce the closure of Daytrippers Foundation at the end of the year.

The charity has funded opportunities for children and young people to explore, learn, develop and achieve since 2003. Over 50,000 children and young people who are disabled, neuro diverse and/or have a life-limiting condition have benefitted from our support. We have invested in hundreds of SEN schools, children’s hospices and hospitals, charities and not-for-profit organisations to deliver days out of their choice, innovative events, workshops and legacy programmes.

The voluntary sector is experiencing difficult and uncertain times, and with much consideration we have decided that our current model is no longer sustainable. We do not underestimate the concern that the closure may cause and will ensure that all impending approved grants are fulfilled. We are doing and will continue to do, everything possible to minimise the impact of our departure.

We are incredibly proud of the relationships we have developed with organisations across the UK. We would like to thank everyone involved in the charity, we have been supported and inspired by fantastic donors, collaborators, partners, patrons and volunteers.

Creating inclusive fun for all will always remain at our core. We wish all the amazing organisations we have worked with the best of luck in their ongoing work to improve the lives of children and families.

We are pleased to share some of our achievements in our closing report – A LOOK BACK AT DAYTRIPPERS FOUNDATION
