Skegness Ability Group - The Deep Aquarium, Hull
Group: The Skegness Ability Group
Trip Destination: The Deep Aquarium, Hull
Date: April 2007
The Skegness Ability Group is composed of members from geographically dispersed rural areas in Lincolnshire. They organised a trip to The Deep Aquarium so that the children could come together, socialise, strengthen bonds and have an enjoyable time.
The Deep Aquarium uses a variety of hands on interactive audiovisual presentations and living exhibits to explore how the solar system, planet and oceans function. It has a vast array of marine life including 40 sharks and over 3,500 fish from a range of seas. The children even got a chance to walk under the water in a see-through tunnel seeing the fish and sharks swimming all around them and over their heads.

Daytrip Destination: The Wiggles Concert
Date: June 2007
Pupils from Oakleigh School went to see The Wiggles perform at the Hammersmith Apollo and were very fortunate to meet and interview them personally. This lucky bunch were exceptionally charming and interacted with their favourite personalities. This was an amazing experience for the children as they adore The Wiggles’ music and use it as part of their curriculum to support their learning. Everyone enjoyed watching The Wiggles perform songs such as ‘Fruit Salad’ and ‘Dorothy the Dinosaur’. The pupil’s teacher thought it was a great day and would be hard to top. Thumbs up all round!
