Venue: Tenpin Bowling, Acton W3A

A great bowling alley, some hit party music, delicious food from Nando’s, fabulous goodie bags for all and 130 very excited Daytrippers - a recipe for an amazing party! Everyone really got into the competitive spirit and had some serious fun. In between games all the children were made their own balloons by a balloon modeller and there was also a face painter on hand to add to the fun. The atmosphere was electric and many of the children danced the morning away to all their favourite party tunes! The day was a great success and besides spending time with their families and friends, many of the girls and boys had also made new friends.

Daytrippers Ritzy Film Premiere 2008

Daytrippers Ritzy Premiere 2008

Date: 27th September 2008

Venue: The Ritzy Cinema, Brixton

Children from Oakleigh School, SPA School and Charlie Chaplin Adventure Playground were the proud film-makers attending their own premiere on this fun filled day. A red carpet entrance and pre-show face painting and temporary tattoos made the day even more exciting. Musical performances by Floetic Lara and Hayereyah warmed the audience up before the films and animations were shown on the big screen. Nickleodeon’s Laura Hamilton and BBC’s George Wood handed out the Oscars at the special ceremony at the end of the show and presented the two best dressed children with a top prize. Everyone left the cinema full from the free popcorn and with smiles on their faces.

A huge Thank You to all at The Ritzy and those who contributed to the films and animations being made for the day. This was a truly unique opportunity for the children to be creative and celebrate their talent.

Every year (and in it’s 16th year running) the London Zoo opens it’s doors for a Special Children’s Day and this year we were able to invite 150 very excited Daytrippers along! It was a gloriously sunny summer’s day and families enjoyed the sunshine by having picnics, socialising and joining in the party atmosphere, as well as taking in all that the Zoo has to offer. The London Zoo put on a great event and everyone enjoyed the entertainers, special guided tours, fun rides and live music. Each of our ‘Daytrippers’ were offered a souvenir allowance to remember this special day by.
