Venue: Mandeville Special School, Greenford

This May, working in partnership with Colourscape, Daytrippers had the rare opportunity to help organise a week long festival at Mandeville Special School. All of the 90 students had the opportunity to explore the Colourscape structure learning about colour palettes and mixing. In addition they were able to take part in interactive music making workshops with the talented David Stevens who uses adapted sensors and computer software to create music from movement. In the hall dance workshops were being led by the equally talented Alan Martin who is a unique performer who happens to be wheelchair bound and communicates using an electronic communication aid. The highlight of the week was the children’s final performances in front of the whole school showcasing their talents.

Daytrippers would like to say a huge thank you to all involved in making this event happen as it was a truly unique experience for those involved.
